Hello Promoters! Welcome to UpPromote. You have been invited by a brand to become its brand ambassador via UpPropmote Affiliate Marketing. This video will walk you through your own portal and how to take full advantage of the system during your collaboration with brands. For each merchant you work with, you will receive a separate portal for each offer to find your Promotional materials, Marketing tools and monitor your performance. The first time getting to know the system, we recommend you to first explore from the three bottom tabs. 1. Click on the Guide tab to read your merchant's instruction, within the Guide and Welcome email, the merchant should be transparent about: Benefits, Payment: Time, minimum amount, Performance expectations, Promoting channels/content requirements. If you found any information not mentioned within the recruitment process, please reach out to the merchant via email or if your merchant switched on the chat function, you could find the chat bubble on the bottom right corner of the app. 2. On Settings, you can complete your personal details so the merchant can know you better. Especially, in order to get paid, you need to provide your payment details so the merchant can process payment(s) for you. Click on the Payment tab to choose a payment method and add your payment information, then click Save changes to save your updates. 3. On Marketing tools, you can approach the collection of media assets that the merchant provides in order to help affiliates promote the brand better. The promotion media could be copywriting samples (in form of documents), images with link so you can download, get embedded code (to add on your website) and publish them on your promotion channels. Other types of assets (like video, link) can also be shared. Please do not hesitate to contact the merchant if you found yourself in need of extra marketing tools, since affiliates’ feedback would help merchants a lot in running affiliate marketing programs. 4. Now we will go back to the Dashboard. On top of the Dashboard you will find Commission overview, where you can see your pending amount, approved and paid commissions. Switch to the side tab, you can see the program details. Next you will see your affiliate link, this would be your main promotion tool, you would promote the brand through the affiliate link, and any sale made from the link would be tracked and credited to you. Social sharing buttons are visible and super handy for you to share the link on your social accounts. The default link might normally direct to the merchant's Homepage, but you can totally choose to promote any product/collection that you think would match your customer segments, with the Get Product Link feature. You can also use the Get link with source function to track where your click/conversion is from. This function allows you to generate unlimited links with sources such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google, etc and track your performance by sources. In some cases, if the merchant allows, you can gain the access to customize your affiliate link or get your link shortened. If the merchant assigned you with a coupon, it would also show up in your Dashboard, and sales made using your coupon would also be credited to you. Each coupon can be used for a different promotion plan with a specific product. You can contact your shop owner to assign you with more coupons to support your promoting activity. Similarly, If your merchant activates multi level marketing (also know as MLM) on their side, you will get a Network link, which can be used to invite other affiliates to join the team. Additionally, there would be a Network tab that demonstrates your recruitment performance and how your downline affiliates have been selling. Next you could see your performance on number of referrals, commission amounts, number of sales and clicks in this chart. You can use the filters to see your performance within each time period, which source performs the best and the status of your commission. Additionally, there is the Product analytics feature available in UpPromote, which would be accessible for you when the merchant activates it on their side. This table shows the best-seller items of the brand and the most referred products by you within the last 30 days. This information would help you identify the products that are in high demand and more likely to be sold, so that you can put more effort into promoting these specific items. 5. Switching to the Commission tab, you can see your earnings and commission details as well as their status (which is either approved/denied/pending) and source. Additionally, if an order you referred got returned or declined, the system will create a negative referral to balance out the recorded referral. 6. Once the commission is approved and paid, the commission status will be changed from Pending > Approved > Paid. You can also see the payment details and the list of paid commissions on the Payment tab. If the merchant enabled Export invoice on their side, you would be able to export invoices on your paid referrals by clicking on Detail and click Download invoice. That is it! I hope this guide is informative and useful, and it gives you some ideas about how to collaborate with merchants using our tools. Don’t hesitate to reach out to merchants to request extra promotional tools and marketing materials, request assistance, negotiate commission rates and give feedbacks. Keeping in touch with merchants would not only improve your relationship with them but also help improve your performance. Good luck promoting!
